The 10 Commandments of Marriage

1 – Thou Shalt Have a Daily Prayer Time Together

“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

2 – Thou Shalt Plan Your Schedule Weekly and Together

“Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.” – Proverbs 14:22

3 – Thou Shalt Have a Weekly Discipling Time with Each Other

“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner adn as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.” – 1 Peter 3:7

4 – Thou Shalt Go On Real Dates with Your Spouse

“May your fountain be blessed and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.” – Proverbs 5:18

5 – Thou Shalt Look Your Best for Your Spouse

“You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.” – Song of Songs 4:9

6 – Thou Shalt Practice Daily Encouragement

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sins’s decietfulness.” – Hebrews 3:13

7 – Thou Shalt Not Retaliate

“Do not repay evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at pease with everyone.” – Romans 12:17-18

8 – Thou Shalt Hug and Kiss Daily

“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth–for your love is more delightful than wine.” – Song of Songs 1:2

9 – Thou Shalt Practice Mercy and Forgivenss

“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” – Luke 6:36

10 – Thou Shalt Have Sex Regularly

“The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.” – 1 Corinthians 7:3
