How to Have a Quiet Time – Part 2

Take a moment and ask God to prepare your heart this week to learn how and why you should to get to know Him on a more intimate level.

Read Psalm 46:10.
What does this verse mean to you?

There is a saying that says, “If you’re too busy for time for God, you’re too busy.” Do you think that this is true? Why or why not?

Spending time with God not only helps us get to know Him more, but it also helps us to become more like Christ in the way we act and think.

Think of one of your closest friends. How do you get to know that person better? It’s through spending time with them that you get to know them more. You might even have a friend that you can finish their sentences, and sometimes you know what each other are thinking without even saying it. It’s the same way with God! As you get to know Him more, you will begin to think like Him, talk like Him, and act like Him. This is the journey of being shaped into Christ’s image. It is a lifelong journey, but it is an exciting one!

Take a few minutes to read these verses and answer the following questions:

Close out your time by praying. Commit your day to God, and ask Him to help you live for Him today. Let God know how you want to grow in your relationship with Him. Thank Him for giving you the chance to know Him more today.
